Being Brazilian citizen with a Japanese background makes the artist question those two different cultures that inhabit her. This shapes her way of thinking in multiple directions and makes her ask how different things or thoughts can be related. Memories and hidden histories are common paths witch the artist walks in her practice. Trough sculptures, photography and video, the multimedia artist explores how her personal life is crossed by political, historical and geographical situations.

The artist has participated in exhibitions and residencies across South America. A Master in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo 2016 (ECA-USP, BR) and in 2024 participant at the Jan van Eyck Academie (NL), she co-founded the Cocuyo Residency in 2020 (CO). Her career also includes contributions to projects like ‘Puerperio’ and the ‘Plataforma Performance Festival,’ alongside a decade of experience in art education for children in social, private, and São Pedro Psychiatric Hospital.
